Charsi Chicken Karahi Street Style | Peshawari Charsi Karahi | Neelo's kitchen
It is simple, cooked with minimum spices and presented in it's purest form. The famous Charsi Karahi is actually a mutton dish but it evolved quickly and became a chicken dish too and almost all restaurants have this chicken version in their menu card.
The people of Peshawar have a large variety of recipe of karahis as well as other meat recipes. Its best to eat with different varieties of naan.
Those of us living in the UK have seen many an influx of different races and creeds, each bringing into Britain their very own personal cuisine, always tried and tested by locals. At present the Afghanis are making in-roads into the local restaurant scene with their very own specialities, some very similar to Pathan cuisine e.g Chapli kebabs. The one thing that has really taken off in London is the karahis they make; they are special and different, with names like Afghani karahi, Charsi karahi, kali mirchi (pepper) karahi.
The name of this dish is a little strange and unique. But still this dish is popular in all over the world where Afghans or Peshawaris live and make the mouth watering Charsi Karahi anytime at home. You can make it for special occasions for the guests and in dinner for your children and don’t forget to share your feedback
